How to check your chip, installing and the first launch

Requirements: Apple computer, M1 chip or newer, macOS 15 or later.
Check your chip: Click the Apple logo and choose the first menu item. "Chip: Apple M1" or newer is fine. "Processor: Intel" will not run Voxmill.
Install: Open the downloaded file and move Voxmill to Applications. Apple has checked the app for malicious software. New versions install from the app in one click.
First launch: Voxmill downloads its speech files; after that it works without the internet.

Free version

Requirements: an Apple computer with macOS 15 or later (Windows in development); free version: one file at a time, and in Polish 18.5 words in 100 wrong (FLEURS test set, 758 recordings of read speech; meetings and interviews not measured).

The free version has no time limit. Many files at once, a folder that transcribes by itself and fewer mistakes in Polish come with Pro for 39 EUR.

Pro makes fewer mistakes in all five languages. The gap is widest in Polish: over 92 words in 100 correct, against over 81 in the free version.

Words recognised correctly. Our measurement: the full FLEURS test sets, 647 to 908 recordings of read speech per language (not meetings or interviews). The same set for both versions, language set by hand. Apple laptop with an M2 chip.
